Welcome to Jabberwocky Children's Nursery! Our light, open-plan classrooms are set close to nature in the heart of Street near Glastonbury in Somerset. We have childcare places for 3 months to 5-year-olds. We are open daily from 7.15 until 6pm all year round.

Our beautiful architect designed rooms and gardens are creatively imagined learning environments
to give the very best for the ages of the children in our care.
And come rain or shine we provide daily woodland outdoors adventures for all our children just a short walk away at the Arboretum.
Toaves 0-2 Room
Toaves room is fresh, and bright, and as cosy and as warm as a home, brimful of important developmental resources, encouraging the desire for discovery of our tiniest members. Toaves have their very own Baby Garden.
Banders 2-3 Room
Banders room is a light, spacious and wonderful room enabling learning, exploration and growing independence. Banders have their very own Toddlers Garden.
Jabbers 3-5 Room
Jabbers room is both a beautifully curated indoor classroom catering for accelerated learning ready for school, and also the huge outdoor classroom of the Arboretum, which has 2 homely heated yurts - Cosy Yurt and School Readiness Yurt.
What We Offer

To help parents and lifestyles today we offer many different, flexible sessions to suit every family’s needs. Whether you need a funded or self-funding place, or have childcare or government vouchers from work, we will always make sure we help to find what works best for you.
We not only have fabulous indoor provision providing children with amazing invitations to play grabbing children’s curiosity through awe and wonder. We also have our outside areas which are full of invitations to play, music stations, art areas, growing areas, water walls, mud kitchen, pet Guinea pigs and most recently we have the added addition of a beautiful Shepherds Hut which will become our School Readiness hub.
We have weekly outside activity leaders come in to provide our children with Football, PE, Music and Movement and French along with our very own wood work club, gardening club, cooking club, yoga and soo much more.
We have a fabulous Forest School off site which the staff are continuously growing, designing and building new areas, mud kitchen, shelter building, allotment areas, agility and body strengthening apparatus and our very own chickens as well as wonderful Yurts with woodburners.
AND ALSO Our very own nursery Mini Bus enables us to provide all our children with special trips out to local farm parks, fruit picking, pet shops, sunflower fields and so much more.
