At Jabberwocky, messy play is marvellous, creativity is celebrated, and child-led exploration fills each day with awe and wonder. The toddlers’ awesome garden is alive with opportunities to climb, run, dig, and build independence through endless adventures.

By the time they join our awesome preschool, children are ready for bigger challenges. Learning is woven into every magical moment – whether it’s joining fun school-readiness sessions in our cosy Shepherd’s hut, whipping up tasty treats in the cooking club, or jumping into action during thrilling sports sessions. Their epic garden becomes a world of possibilities, with construction zones for teamwork, a mud kitchen for imaginative role play, and spaces where science and maths leap to life through hands-on discovery.


And then, the magic of Forest School awaits. Set in the magical Arboretum, children climb trees, build dens, hunt for bugs, and embrace exciting, safe risk-taking. They can carry their learning into the storybook-like Shepherd’s hut or venture into two beautiful yurts, where real fires glow in the colder months – filling the space with warmth, wonder, and memories to treasure. With our own two minibuses, the adventures go even further – to local parks, woodlands, and incredible Beach School, where children explore marine life, splash in the waves, and paint pebbles.

Real-life learning shines bright every day at Jabberwocky. At Farm School, children feed and care for hens and a cockerel, while back at nursery they help look after guinea pigs, a bunny rabbit, and even giant African snails – magical encounters that nurture empathy, responsibility, and confidence. From hands-on cooking and woodwork to gardening, sports, and rewilding projects, children gain wonderful experiences that connect them to nature, sustainability, and the world around them.
